About Vercel
Vercel is a frontend cloud platform that enables developers to deploy web applications at the speed of development.
About the role
The Dashboard team in Berlin builds the screens that more than a million developers open every week: deployment lists, build logs, domain settings and the usage pages that tell a team where its money goes. We are a group of seven engineers and two designers, and we ship to production several times a day.
We are hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer who cares about the details people notice only when they go wrong: a log viewer that stutters at 50,000 lines, a date that shows in the wrong time zone, a table that loses keyboard focus after a refresh. You will own features from the first sketch to the rollout dashboard.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain core dashboard surfaces in React and TypeScript, including:
- the real-time build log viewer, which streams output over a single connection
- the project settings area, which is being rebuilt section by section through Q1 2027
- Keep an eye on performance budgets and act when we drift. Our target is an Interaction to Next Paint below 200 ms on a mid-range laptop.
- Review pull requests, write short design docs for larger changes, and pair with designers before a single line of code exists.
- Join the on-call rotation for frontend incidents, roughly one week in eight, with a paid on-call allowance.
What we’re looking for
- At least five years of professional frontend work, with two or more on a product used by thousands of people daily.
- Strong TypeScript and a clear opinion on when not to add a dependency.
- Experience with server rendering, streaming or caching, and the ability to explain the trade-offs to a product manager in plain words.
- Comfortable writing in English; most of our planning happens in written documents rather than meetings.
Nice to have
- Contributions to an open source framework or component library.
- Some experience with accessibility audits and screen reader testing.
- German is welcome but not required. Fewer than half the team speak it at work.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary of €85,000–€105,000, depending on experience, plus equity.
- 30 days of paid vacation, plus German public holidays.
- A €1,500/year learning budget for books, courses and one conference of your choice.
- Hybrid schedule: the Kreuzberg office is open 08:00–20:00 and the team meets in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Relocation support of up to €6,000 and visa sponsorship for candidates moving to Germany.
How to apply
Send us your CV and a short note about a frontend problem you are proud of solving. Links to code are helpful but optional. You can read more about the team on the company profile before you apply.
Our process has four steps and usually takes three weeks:
- A 30-minute call with the hiring manager.
- A take-home exercise capped at three hours, or a walkthrough of existing code if you prefer.
- A technical conversation with two engineers.
- A final chat about values and working style.
Applications close on 15 November 2026. If you are looking for something closer to infrastructure, have a look at our other engineering roles.
