About the role
Large engineering organisations in Australia and New Zealand are consolidating their developer tools, and many of them are deciding which platform will host their code, run their pipelines and scan for security issues for the next five years. We want to be part of those conversations early.
We are hiring an Enterprise Account Executive in Sydney to manage a territory of around 60 named accounts in financial services, government and telecommunications. You will join an APAC sales team of 14 people and work closely with solutions engineers, customer success managers and partners.
What you’ll do
- Own the full sales cycle for new business and expansion deals, typically between A$150,000 and A$1.5 million in annual value.
- Build account plans for your top 15 customers, including:
- a map of key stakeholders in engineering, security and procurement
- current tools and contract renewal dates
- a 12-month plan for growth or migration
- Run discovery calls and product demos together with a solutions engineer.
- Negotiate commercial terms with procurement and legal teams.
- Keep the CRM accurate. Forecast calls happen every Monday at 08:30 AEST, and we rely on your numbers.
What we’re looking for
- Five or more years of enterprise software sales, with a record of hitting quota.
- Experience selling to technical buyers, such as CTOs, heads of platform or security leaders.
- A clear understanding of long sales cycles involving security reviews and formal tenders.
- Strong written communication. Many of our deals are won or lost in a well-structured proposal.
Nice to have
- Experience selling into government agencies in Australia, including familiarity with procurement panels.
- A technical background, or experience as a developer, DevOps engineer or solutions architect.
- An existing network in the Sydney and Melbourne tech scenes.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary of A$140k–A$165k, with on-target earnings of roughly double the base at 100% of quota.
- Uncapped commission and accelerators above 100%.
- Superannuation at 12% on top of base salary.
- 25 days of annual leave, plus your birthday off.
- Hybrid working: the Barangaroo office is open 07:30–19:00, and the team gathers in person on Tuesdays.
- A A$2,500 home office stipend when you join.
How to apply
Apply with your CV and a short note describing one deal you won and one you lost, and what you learned from each. We value honesty over polish.
The interview process usually takes three to four weeks:
- A 30-minute call with the recruiter.
- A conversation with the APAC sales director.
- A mock discovery call with a solutions engineer playing the customer.
- A final interview with the regional VP.
