Figma

Localization Program Manager

FigmaDublin, Ireland

About Figma

Figma is a collaborative interface design tool that runs in the browser, enabling teams to design, prototype, and gather feedback in real time.

About the role

Our product is currently available in nine languages, and by the end of 2027 we want that number to reach fourteen. Getting there takes more than translation. Every new language touches product copy, help articles, legal pages, billing emails and the in-app tutorials, and each of those has a different owner and a different release schedule.

As our Localization Program Manager in Dublin, you will coordinate all of it. You will sit in the Global Operations group, work closely with a team of four localization engineers, and manage a vendor network of around 40 freelance translators and two agencies.

What you’ll do

  • Own the localization roadmap and turn it into quarterly plans that product teams can follow.
  • Run the weekly string freeze and release cycle:
    • agree cut-off times with each product team (currently Wednesdays at 12:00 IST)
    • track translation progress and chase blockers before they delay a release
    • sign off on linguistic quality checks for each language
  • Manage vendor contracts, budgets and turnaround times. The annual localization budget is roughly €1.2 million.
  • Set up a review process with in-market volunteers and regional sales teams, so that terminology stays consistent.
  • Report on quality and speed with clear metrics, such as average time from string creation to live translation.

What we’re looking for

  • Five or more years in localization or program management, ideally in a software company that ships weekly.
  • Hands-on experience with a translation management system and with continuous localization workflows.
  • A calm way of handling competing deadlines, and the habit of writing things down.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other language. Japanese, German or Brazilian Portuguese would be especially useful right now.

Nice to have

  • Basic familiarity with ICU message syntax and pluralization rules.
  • Experience introducing right-to-left languages such as Arabic or Hebrew.
  • Some time spent managing machine translation with human post-editing.

Compensation and benefits

  • Base salary of €78,000–€92,000 plus an annual bonus target of 10%.
  • 28 days of annual leave, plus Irish bank holidays.
  • Private health insurance for you and your dependants.
  • A €1,200/year wellbeing allowance, usable for gym fees, therapy or sports equipment.
  • Hybrid working: three days a week in our office near Grand Canal Dock, core hours 10:00–16:00 IST.

How to apply

Please share your CV and a one-page summary of a localization program you ran, including what went wrong and how you fixed it. We read every application and aim to reply within ten working days.

The interview loop has three stages: a call with the recruiter, a case study presented to the Global Operations lead, and a panel with two product managers. If you would like to understand how we work with candidates, our help center article on applications explains how status updates appear in your HireWise dashboard.
